Salta is the home of Torrontes in Argentina, with the grape thriving in the cool, wind swept conditions. The Zuccardi Serie A is classic Torrontes, full of white flowers and citric fruits. It's beautifully structured, aromatic and has lively acidity.

An exciting opportunity to virtually meet winemaker, Karim Mussi Saffie, and taste two of his fabulous wines. Karim describes himself as a driving winemaker, because when he's not overseeing production at his wineries, Bodega Altocedro and Bodega Alandes, he's driving across Argentina consulting for other Bodegas.

Karim will introduce you to the history of the region, the story behind the wines and give you the opportunity to ask questions about the Paradoux Blanc de Blancs and the Old Vine Reserve Malbec 2017.

A classy Chardonnay from Argentina's pioneering Paul Hobbs Wines. Bright tropical notes combine with racy acidity to give balance and freshness, while a little oak ageing adds hints of vanilla and butterscotch.

We love this cheeky sparkler from Familia Zuccardi. It's 100% Chardonnay with lovely citrus fruit, hints of toasted almonds and a gentle fizz. It's light, crisp and very quaffable!

A superb white wine made from Malbec grapes, where the grapes are gently pressed to avoid contact with the colour in the skins. The 2019 vintage is packed full of fragrant floral notes, mulberry fruit and strawberries, combined with aromas of cinnamon and cloves. A full bodied white with a lovely, long finish.

There's definitely a renewed thirst for oaky Chardonnay and the Verum shows how it should be done with gentle oak allowing the wine to express its tropical fruit character. Notes of pineapple and melon combine with a touch of vanilla and spice, to leave a soft, savoury finish.

From the sought-after wine region of Vista Flores, the Tapiz is a classic Sauvignon Blanc, with intense aromas of freshly cut grass, accompanied by delicate citrus notes. The grapes are handpicked and the quality shines. Full of flavour with a long, refreshing finish.

We're big fans of those lovely pale pink rose wines, so we've scaled the Andean foothills to find a delicate rose that meets the quality we've come to expect from this category. The Susana Balbo Signature Rose is a stunning pale salmon pink colour, with hints of wild strawberry and cherry on the nose. On the palate, it delivers fresh, crunchy acidity, with redcurrant and light strawberry flavours and a long, refreshing finish.  It's beautifully elegant from start to finish.

Susana's Signature Malbec has a dash of Cabernet Sauvignon to give it extra complexity. It's beautifully structured, with flavours of raspberry, plums and currants, as well as lovely hint of smoke. It's rich, velvety and everything you'd expect from a top quality Malbec.

This delightful sweet red wine is made from mature, late harvest, raisin like Malbec grapes. Plenty of blackcherry, cloves, cinnamon and dark chocolate notes on the palate with a long, lingering finish. Amazing with dark chocolate puds!

The fruit for the Anubis Malbec comes from vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. The 2019 shows elegance, with delicate raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, good acidity, and a hint of vanilla.

2016 was a little cooler than usual in Vistalba, which has produced a Malbec with bright aromas of red fruits such as plums, along with floral hints and spicy notes. It's an elegant Malbec with a freshness and smooth, sweet tannins.

We love this Viognier because it boasts all the ripe peachy character that you'd expect from this grape, yet there's a real streak of acidity, keeping the wine fresh and well balanced. I can see this being a real fridge-favourite over the summer!

This charming, unoaked Pinot from the sought-after wine region of Tupungato, is bursting with cherry and wild strawberry fruit. It's perfectly balanced with refreshing acidity and ripe, silky tannins. The high altitude vineyards bring a real freshness and excellent fruit concentration to the wine.

The 2017 Rutini Collection Cabernet Malbec is stunning. Aromatic and complex, with concentrated aromas of red cherry and plum. The palate is full, with rich red fruit flavours, a touch of vanilla and a long, lingering finish.

If you love Sauvignon Blanc, the Rutini is more Sancerre than Marlborough, with freshly cut grass notes combined with a little herbaceous character. A few months' ageing in oak also brings a hint of vanilla. A lovely, well balanced wine with refreshing acidity.

Tinto de la Casa is a blend of Malbec parcels from Las Compuertas and the super premium, Gualtallary, where vines sit at 1400 M.A.S.L and the grapes grow thicker skins to cope with the UV rays. This results in a rich, concentrated wine, where ripe fruit is balanced by the acidity naturally retained at high altitude.  It's a complex, full bodied  Malbec with floral, blackfruit and spicy notes and super smooth tannins. 

The grape used to produce this wine is more commonly associated with the sticky sweet sherries from Jerez, but in Argentina, Mauricio Lorca has created a beautiful, dry white from Pedro Ximenez. The Recoleta Pedro Blanco is carefully hand harvested and shows citrus notes and an almost saline character. Great with roasted almonds as an aperitif!

A light and fruity rose, perfect for those summer nights. Crunchy red fruit and a dash of good acidity delivers a fresh, easy drinking style. Another great value wine from the Bodega Lorca range.
